After yesterday's matches of the penultimate round of the Nations League in the first group of Division "B", the tournament situation for the Ukrainian national team has become critical.
Now the standings in this quartet look as follows.
1. Czech Republic — 8 points
2. Georgia — 7
3. Albania — 7
4. Ukraine — 5.
Considering the results of head-to-head matches, the Ukrainian national team no longer has a chance to finish in first place in the group, which grants a direct ticket to Division "A" of the next season of the Nations League. At the same time, the "blue-yellow" team can still take second place, thus gaining the right to participate in the playoffs for a spot in Division "A".
However, to leave the last position, the Ukrainian team must defeat Albania in the final round. In any other result, the Ukrainian national team will drop to Division "C". If the "blue-yellow" finish third, they will face playoff matches for the right to maintain their place in Division "B".
