Ukrainian national team forward Roman Yaremchuk summed up yesterday’s match against the Georgia national team (1:1) in the Nations League on the YouTube channel «VZBIRNA».
— We could have scored, but we could also have conceded. I think a draw is a more just result. Of course, we could have scored at the end, but overall Georgia was more dangerous than Ukraine in the second half, so I believe it’s a deserved draw for both teams.
On the other hand, there are mixed feelings about the match. We were winning until the 80th minute, and at the end, we could have scored as well. There’s a sense of emptiness.
— Remember the moment when we could have scored? You made such a great pass, first with Hutsuliak's shot, then another shot from Nazarenko.
— We broke forward into attack, got space, created a goal-scoring chance. We were a bit unlucky.
— Mudryk was talking to you for a long time after the game. What was the conversation about?
— I had a moment at the end of the match when I crossed from the flank. I could have passed it back to him, but the defender nudged me a bit, and I could no longer make the pass. If I had passed it, I think it would have been another goal-scoring chance.
— What do you think about the upcoming match against Albania?
— Matches for the national team are always very responsible. Especially against Albania. They are not an easy team; last time we lost to them (1:2, — editor's note), so it will be very difficult. Albanian fans are passionate, and the team has an Italian-style approach; they defend well, so it’s hard to play against them.
Чесно кажучи, щось і не дуже було видно, щоб команда сильно прагнула цієї перемоги...
зии просто не имела.
