From November 9 to 16, the youth national team of Ukraine held a training camp, preparing for the elite round of qualification for Euro-2025 U-17. In Rijeka, they met with the Croatia U-17 team twice – first losing (1:2), and then drawing (0:0).
After returning home, the head coach of the “blue-yellows” Yuriy Moroz summed up this work:
— It is very good that we managed to play against such a strong opponent as Croatia. I can only thank the leadership of UAF for organizing such a beneficial camp.
I am satisfied with the team’s performance, especially the newcomers. I only did not like the team’s actions in the first half of the first match when we conceded two goals. But I can confidently say that the competition in the national team is growing. Talented players born in 2009 are joining us.
Regarding further work, we will not meet again this year. The task of entering the elite round has been fulfilled by the team. We will start making plans after December 8, when the draw for the next stage of qualification will take place.
