Panamanian forward of Dynamo Eduardo Guerrero played in the match for his national team.
In the second leg of the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Nations League, the Panamanians faced Costa Rica at home. Recall that in the first match between these teams, which took place away, the Dynamo team won with a minimal score of 1:0.
This time the rivals played to a 2:2 draw, with Costa Rica equalizing twice. Cesar Blackman scored in the 13th minute, and 11 minutes later the guests responded with a goal from Alejandro Bran. In added time of the first half, Jose Rodriguez put the Panamanians ahead, and in the middle of the second half, Alonso Martinez established the final score.
It is also noted that in the 80th minute Fidel Escobar received a red card, so Panama played with 10 men in the final minutes of the match.
Dynamo player Guerrero appeared on the field in the 72nd minute, replacing Jose Fahardo, and in added time of the second half received a yellow card.
Thus, on aggregate of two matches, Panama won with a score of 3:2 and advanced to the next stage — the final four.
It should be noted that the matches of this stage will take place in March next year in Inglewood (California, USA).
