Forward of Chornomorets Alexey Khoblenko shared his expectations for the match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian Championship against «Dynamo», which will take place on Saturday, November 23.
Alexey Khoblenko— How is the team’s mood?
— The mood is normal. There have been two defeats in the championship. We made our conclusions, so we are preparing normally. You can play against «Dynamo», and «Chornomorets» has always loved taking points from «Dynamo», so I think we can do it.
— Yes, it wasn’t just in 2023, it was in that season when you were the main striker of the team. Moreover, the statistics do not lie: you scored both in Kyiv and in the winning match in Odesa. Can you recall those times? You— are an expert on «Dynamo».
— You can recall. Yes, there were interesting matches. It was a long time ago, so… Good matches, it’s always interesting to play against «Dynamo». A good team, they are a grand. I love playing against such teams, so the mood is great.
The guys in the team are very positive about the training process. We went to Kyiv, played against «Obolon». It was an interesting friendly match. The team is being built, many players are showing up, so it’s normal to have such friendlies. I think this will only benefit «Chornomorets».
— There was an important series of 4 games without a loss, then a respectable game against «Shakhtar». The match against «Vorskla», which is a kryptonite for «Chornomorets» — «Chornomorets» can’t seem to defeat «Vorskla». Did this defeat hit the club psychologically, not really based on the game?
— I didn’t know about the fact that «Chornomorets» can’t win against «Vorskla», I didn’t pay attention to it. There was probably some psychology before the game. For me, it was an ordinary match. At home, we shouldn’t have lost to «Vorskla», but it happened this way, it’s football.
We have taken many points, so to speak, in the last minutes, and here we got the opposite. Football, as in life, is a boomerang — sometimes it gives, sometimes it returns.
