The head coach of Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi, who previously coached Donetsk Shakhtar, refuted media reports about his desire to leave the French club, linked to unsatisfactory results of the team.
“After the match against Auxerre, I didn’t use harsh words. I just took responsibility. At the Velodrome, we played five matches: one win, two draws, and two losses. I will take this responsibility. If you think I will resign and wish for that, I want to emphasize that I am not fleeing. I’m staying here, I didn’t flee from Shakhtar, even when Putin started bombing Kyiv. I believe in this Marseille project, in the players I coach. I’m not going anywhere,” De Zerbi is quoted by Le Figaro.
