Christian Bilovar: “The conceded goal from ‘Chornomorets’ at the end of the match is purely a misunderstanding”

Central defender of "Dynamo" Christian Bilovar commented on his team’s victory in the match of the 14th round of the UPL against "Chornomorets" — 3:1.

— "Dynamo" played with a scheme of three central defenders. How did you find playing in this match?

— This is not a new scheme for us, as we played with three central defenders in Rome, against "Roma". Still, there is work to be done and things to improve. Speaking for myself — I feel very comfortable playing in the center of defense with Popov and Mikhavko.

— In defense, the Dynamo players acted quite confidently. Do you agree with this opinion?

— Yes. The only thing is that we conceded a goal at the very end of the match, and I believe this is purely a misunderstanding. We lacked concentration there. Overall, we didn't have any special problems.

— It’s clear that all defenders like it when their team plays a clean sheet…

— That’s true, however, we will work to ensure that similar goals are not conceded in the future.

— Why such a contrast in Dynamo’s play in the Ukrainian Championship and the Europa League?

— We have a lot of young footballers in the team, for them these aren’t just the first games in Europe — they are the first minutes in European competitions. We understand that the level of competition in the UPL and in the Europa League is different. For our youth, it’s not easy to switch and play at the highest level right away. Everything comes with experience. We need time.

— Is it within Dynamo’s capacity to earn their first points on Thursday in a home game against the Czech Viktoria?

— It’s within our capacity. God willing, everything will be fine for us.
