On November 27, Shakhtar players will play another match in the Champions League — away against PSV. Former national team player of Ukraine Volodymyr Mykytyn assessed the chances of the “miners” in the confrontation with the grand of Dutch football.
“PSV is a fast-paced team, each link of which has leaders who make the 'weather'. This is why much will depend on whether Shakhtar can withstand the high tempo that the hosts will offer. Because currently, the 'miners' do not give the impression of a team with perfect physical preparation.
What worries me is that despite Shakhtar's crushing victory in the last round of the UPL over 'Inhulets', before the break, they could have repeatedly conceded to the outsider. If they got away with it at the 'Arena-Lviv', then in Eindhoven, the hosts can punish mistakes in defense with goals, as their level of preparation is significantly higher.
In my opinion, if Shakhtar returns home with one point gained, it will be a success,” said Mykytyn.
Currently, PSV players are in 24th place in the Champions League, having earned five points, while Shakhtar lags behind by one point — they are in 28th.
