A former Manchester City footballer could become the President of Georgia

A former footballer of Tbilisi’s Dynamo and English Manchester City, Mikhail Kavelashvili, could become the President of Georgia.

The ruling party of the country, the "Georgian Dream," which has a majority in parliament, has nominated the 53-year-old former forward in the current presidential elections, Georgian media reports.

The presidential elections in Georgia will be held on December 14.
