The former defender of “Shakhtar” and “Dynamo”, Vladimir Yezersky made a prediction for the Champions League match between PSV and “the miners”, which will take place on November 27 in Eindhoven:
“I lean towards the fact that PSV has a better chance of winning, but I believe that the situation for “Shakhtar” is not hopeless. Especially since a few leaders will be absent from the hosts’ lineup. I may be pointed out that their absence was compensated well by the reserves, who crushed “Groningen” in the last round of the Eredivisie; however, these are different tournaments. Likewise, it can be said that “Shakhtar” is also in optimal sports form, considering their six “clean” goals in the match against “Inhulets” in the UPL last week.
Who is really who will only be shown by today’s match in Eindhoven. And I believe that “Shakhtar” will put up a fight against the Dutch giant. And not just because their manager, Marino Puzhich, previously trained Dutch teams for a long time and knows PSV’s capabilities well. In my opinion, there are quite a few players in “the miners’” squad with Champions League experience, which functionally, in terms of technical preparation and creativity, are on par with their counterparts from Eindhoven. The significance of the match, the difficult tournament situation of “Shakhtar” should contribute to maximum motivation. I hope that “the miners” will return home with more than empty hands,” Yezersky said.
