Valentin Rubchinsky: "We will play until the end. We will fight"

Kyiv Dynamo midfielder Valentin Rubchinsky commented on his team’s defeat to Czech Victoria (1:2) in yesterday’s match of the 5th round of the main stage of the Europa League.

— The game turned out to be tough. Of course, we are not satisfied with the result because we wanted to win. It happened that we did not convert our chances, conceded goals, and ultimately lost today.

— For the first time in five matches, Shovkovsky included you in the starting lineup. Do you feel the coach’s trust, or does the competition not always allow you to play from the first minutes?

— Yes, there is a lot of competition at Dynamo, and it’s nice that I am given the chance to start. I would like to play more in my position, where I am more accustomed to performing (he is a central midfielder, but today he played in a position behind the striker - ed. note). But that’s not a problem: if the coach says to play in another position, I try to fulfill that task.

— What are Dynamo’s chances of advancing further in the Europa League?

— We will play until the end, and then we will see what happens. If we can do it — that’s great. But otherwise… we will fight.

— What influences such results in the Europa League, since things are going well in the Ukrainian championship?

— In the European Cups, the opponents are tougher, more aggressive, and better tactically prepared. It is harder for us to play here than in the Ukrainian championship. Sometimes luck is not on our side: a red card here, or we can't score there.

Якби вчора вся команда грала з таким бажанням як Рубчинський, то я думаю що результат був би позитивним для "Динамо".
