The newly appointed head coach of Leicester, Ruud van Nistelrooy, is surprised that his brief tenure at the helm of Manchester United garnered wide interest only after four games.
“What happened after these matches, the interest and opportunities that suddenly opened up for me, surprised me a little. It was just four games, and at PSV I had a full season, managed to win the cup and the super cup, worked as a coach for the national team and the Netherlands team, which never caused such a reaction in the football world.
This time the reaction was different, and I was pleased about it. I held discussions with various parties and was able to make a decision that was truly best for me. I’m happy to be here,” Van Nistelrooy told Sky Sports.
