Famous manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovailo shared his impressions of yesterday's postponed match of the 1st round of the Ukrainian championship between "Alexandria" and Kyiv "Dynamo" (0:0).
— "Dynamo" approached the game against "Alexandria" as the favorite, but only on paper.
The team of Ruslan Rotan looked convincing. In the first half, it was clearly visible that there is not much difference in skill between "Dynamo" and "Alexandria". You might ask: how can that be? Well, that's how it is, such are today's realities.
"Alexandria" did not shut down, did not play to hold on to the 0:0 result. They pressed the Kyiv team almost throughout the match all over the field without complexes. For this, they deserve respect and recognition.
On the other hand, we cannot complain about the Dynamo players' unwillingness to achieve results. They did their job, but somehow it was without emotions. It is evident that the team is fed up with football. In other words, they need a breather; the season has been too long and heavy for them. However, I will not act as a lawyer. There are complaints, and they primarily concern the results in European cups.
As for the game. "Alexandria" visually held the initiative throughout the first half. The game took place on the Kyiv team's half of the field. Both teams had half-chances.
Second half. "Dynamo" increased the intensity of the game. The situation leveled off, but it was not enough.
The two teams played to a draw, and that is fair.
