Former forward of Kyiv "Dynamo" and the Ukrainian national team Roman Zozulya, known for his active involvement in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, congratulated the volunteer community on their "professional holiday".

"My addiction...
It all started 10 years ago with the bare walls of a military hospital in Dnipro. Friends from the ultras invited me to visit our wounded volunteers, who were the first to defend the country. Shame, anger, and despair washed over me simultaneously. The conditions they were in were hard to describe as humane. That was the first time I took a significant amount from the family budget. And then everything was like a fog...
Volunteering is an addiction. Once you start, you can't stop. But it’s the best addiction in the world, for which there is no cure, and none is needed.
Tons of requests, round-the-clock calls, meticulous searches for what is needed, endless negotiations, and satisfied military personnel. And only the last thing matters. If you made it, saved lives—then you lived that day meaningfully.
Happy holiday to all addicts. May everyone for whom we work return alive,” Zozulya wrote on Facebook.
