On Thursday, December 5, the draw for the qualifying round of Euro-2026 (U-19) took place in Nyon, Switzerland.

As a result of the draw, the youth national team of Ukraine (currently U-18, players born in 2007) found itself in group 5, where it will compete against Slovakia, Montenegro, and Albania. The mini-tournament will take place in November next year in Albania.

The official website of UAF learned the reaction to the draw for the qualifying round of Euro-2026 (U-19) from the coach of the Ukrainian national team Yuriy Morozy.

— In our group, it is hard to single out any opponent. We need to focus on our game. I believe our team is well-prepared. The guys understand the game management, know the requirements. The team has been working together for more than one year, so, I repeat, in these competitions, everything will depend on us how we prepare for the matches.

Is the Ukrainian national team considered a favorite? With all due respect to Montenegro, Albania, and Slovakia, I think yes, it can be considered a favorite. However, everything will be decided on the football field, — said Morozy.
