As a result of the European Cup matches this week, Ukraine has worsened its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
Recall that last Tuesday, Donetsk Shakhtar lost in the group stage of the Champions League to Bayern Munich (1:5), and two days later, Kyiv Dynamo lost to Spanish Real Sociedad (0:3) in the Europa League.
As a result, Ukraine dropped from 21st to 23rd place in the UEFA coefficient table, allowing Cyprus to rise two positions ahead.
The key position in this part of the table is the 15th line: countries ranked 1st to 15th inclusive delegate two representatives to the Champions League, not just one.
It should be noted that the final UEFA coefficient table this season will determine countries' representation in European cups for the 2026/27 season. In the 2025/26 season, Ukraine will be represented in the Champions League by one team for the first time in many years instead of 5.
