The midfielder of Kyiv’s Dynamo, Vladyslav Kabaiev, summarized the results of yesterday’s match against Rivne’s Veres (1:0) in the 17th round of the Ukrainian championship in an interview with the Telegram channel “Football Sector”.
— How is your overall mood?
— Everything is good, we didn’t lose anything, we won a lot. There is plenty to work on. It’s a good year, but the European cups didn’t go well for us.
— How would you rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 for this part of the season?
— For the team or for myself?
— For yourself and the team.
— I’m very self-critical. I haven’t scored as much as I should have. But I was called up to the national team, so personally, I would give myself a 6 out of 10.
— I would give you a 9 out of 10 personally because you have progressed a lot during Shovkovskyi's coaching period.
— Thank you, I feel that. But I know I can do more. I can score more. The coach demands that from me, so it’s nice to hear this from you, but I need to do more.
— Did you watch the game between Polissya and Shakhtar yesterday?
— We had theory at that time. We turned it on about 10–20 minutes before the end.
— Were the emotions positive?
— The emotions were, of course, positive, but if we hadn’t taken three points today, then yesterday’s defeat of Shakhtar wouldn’t have meant anything. We look at ourselves. It’s nice that Shakhtar is losing while we are gaining.
