The goalkeeper of "Benfica" and the Ukrainian national team, Anatoliy Trubin expressed his thoughts on the war.
"Every Ukrainian, from military to civilian, faces challenges that require strength, resilience, and faith.
I know well what it’s like when your world collapses. War forces you to leave your home, leave everything that seemed unchanging: the football field, friends, dreams. I experienced this when I had to leave Donetsk. At such moments it feels like life stops. But you find the strength within you to start again.
In sports, many children have found themselves in a similar situation. War takes away their opportunities, and in some cases, their dreams. But I believe that sport can become their support, as it once became mine. Helping these children is my way of returning what I once received myself: faith in the future and the ability to fight for their dreams," Trubin wrote on his Instagram page.
