The publication “Ukrainian Football” at the end of the calendar year conducted a traditional referendum among domestic coaches, officials, and journalists to determine the best in Ukraine for 2024. Today, the results of the survey in the nomination “Best Legionnaire of the Year” were published.
Each of the respondents in the survey mentioned their version of the top three best legionnaires. The nominee receiving first place was awarded three points, second place — two, and third place — one.
As a result, the winner in the nomination was former defender of Kyiv’s “Dynamo”, currently playing for English “Bournemouth”, Ilya Zabarnyi, who scored 375 points. Second was the striker of Italian “Roma” Artem Dovbik, who last season, as part of the Spanish “Girona”, became the top scorer of the Spanish league, with a total of 295 points. Rounding out the top three was the goalkeeper of Portuguese “Benfica” Anatoliy Trubin — 103 points.
Dynamo.kiev.ua’s choice in this nomination was: 1. Ilya Zabarnyi, 2. Vitaliy Mykolenko, 3. Artem Dovbik.
