Patrick van Leeuwen: “Metalist 1925 has a dream to reach the UPL”

The head coach of Kharkiv’s Metalist 1925, Patrick van Leeuwen, shared that his team plans to return to the elite division of the Ukrainian championship.

“We have a long period of preparation ahead for the spring stage. We certainly wish to continue developing the players and the team, acting as we finished the first stage.

I think our group will be very interesting because all teams will be closer in terms of level and points. So I’m already looking forward to March when the championship resumes.

I feel that in the championship group, everyone strives for victory. Just as we have a dream to lead ourselves to the Premier League, our opponents probably have the same dream. Everyone will do what they can,” van Leeuwen said in a comment to the official website of Metalist 1925.
