The former midfielder of "Karpaty" and "Hoverla" Mykhailo Kopolovets expressed his opinion on the merging of "Karpaty" and "Rukh" into one team.
"The club leaders have given us a football bomb. There are a lot of good footballers in "Rukh", with whom "Karpaty" will noticeably strengthen. It’s one thing when a team is reinforced by two or three players once every six months, and it’s entirely different when two truly capable teams merge.
This merger aims to accelerate the process of the team entering European competitions, from which all of Lviv football will benefit. It would have been much more difficult for "Karpaty" and "Rukh" to handle this task separately.
"Karpaty" will only benefit from this merger because, firstly, the team's name will not change; secondly, the arrival of five or six new players will lead to a noticeable breakthrough in results. Moreover, most of these players are not unfamiliar to "Karpaty", they are alumni of our school," said Kopolovets.
