Real Madrid midfielder Vinícius Júnior has once again made headlines by getting sent off in a La Liga match against Valencia (2:1).
The incident occurred in the 77th minute of the match when Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski urged Vinícius to get up and continue playing after his theatrical fall in the penalty area, as the Brazilian was hoping for a penalty to be awarded for such a "foul".
In response to Dimitrievski's actions, the Real midfielder pushed the opponent in the neck with both hands. This moment immediately drew the attention of the VAR officials, who advised the referee to review the incident personally. Ultimately, the referee showed Vinícius a direct red card without hesitation.
After that, the Brazilian was barely restrained from approaching the referee — only with the help of assistant Ancelotti and defender Rüdiger did the controversial player make his way to the dressing room. Clearly, Vinícius now faces a significant suspension for his rude behavior.
