Former midfielder of Kyiv’s "Dynamo" Mykola Morozuk commented on the unsuccessful performance of the media team of Ukraine UA Steel at the Kings World Cup Nations.

“Yes, friends, the first request is to calm down and exhale.

The second is that, at the very least, you should be proud that our flag flew in all corners of the world, in all corners of our planet. The slogan "Free Azov" shone across the world. For us, this is a very big victory today. The fact that the guys did not achieve the desired result...

Of course, everyone is disappointed, especially them. But you have to understand — first, no current professionals from either futsal, big football, beach football, no one from nowhere can participate. Given that we have a lack of personnel, finances, documents, war — there’s an extraordinary number of problems, understand that for us it is already a victory to come.

I am simply amazed that people write: “Morozuk, where were you, we missed you.” But I was the same cheerleader as you guys before. This is an extremely specific game, this is an extremely specific tournament. The only thing that connects it to football is the ball and the goals. There are a lot of nuances there.

This is a radically new game for us, for Ukrainians. Most teams have specific leagues like this. They have, if not colossal, then at least minimal experience. We gained this experience either in Mexico, or we gather it during the preparation in the 3 days before the tournament.

I understand that many people will criticize, I am used to it. And the guys are experiencing this now, understand that the criticism is partially justified, but I am proud of them. I am proud that they have made it for the second time in a row... For us, this is a failure in the sports component, but I am proud of the guys. Glory to Ukraine,” Morozuk wrote on his Instagram page.

Recall that the UA Steel team left the tournament early, losing in two matches: to Turkey (0:5) and to Morocco (2:9).
