Midfielder of Kyiv "Dynamo" Oleksandr Pihalyonok shared his impressions of the training routine at his team’s camp in Turkey.
— Every day at camp is hard, so today was no different, filled with intense work. The most important thing is to get into shape and prepare for the first official match.
— What period of training camp is the hardest for you personally?
— I think, as for every footballer, it’s the work without the ball, running in circles. This is the hardest part for me personally. When you work with the ball, no matter the load, it is still something different.
— Soon the first match of the training camp will be against the German "Magdeburg". What condition is the team in right now?
— We are currently facing significant loads, but this is normal for training camps. And there will be no easing of loads for the match against "Magdeburg".
— There have already been several tests at the training camp, including the Yo-Yo test. What were your feelings after it?
— Just as always, to be honest. (Laughs). If someone doesn’t know, in the Yo-Yo test you run until the last moment you have strength left — that is, until you drop. I managed to do 13 minutes — this is a normal result.
— There are rumors that you are one of the best in the team in running exercises...
— It’s just rumors. (Laughs).
