Yesterday, the final match of the Portuguese League Cup took place, in which Lisbon’s Sporting faced Benfica.
The regular time of the match ended in a draw, 1:1, and in the penalty shootout, Benfica's players were more successful — 7:6. Moreover, the decisive shot in this series was taken against the Eagles' goal, which was saved by the Ukrainian goalkeeper of the team, Anatoliy Trubin.
Thus, Benfica became the holder of the Portuguese League Cup this season. This is Trubin's first trophy as a player of the Lisbon club.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian goalkeeper has been playing for Benfica since the summer of 2023.
