Sports doctor Dmytro Babeleuk, known for his work with Lviv’s “Rukh”, on the knee cruciate ligament injury using the example of the star Brazilian forward Neymar.

We must not forget that behind a cruciate tear lies daily, routine, and hard work on one’s psychology and body to return to the previous level.
There is much to study about what exactly went wrong in Neymar's story with the “cruciate”. Perhaps it was the physiotherapists who, at the beginning of rehabilitation, tortured the Brazilian by extending the operated knee “because I can’t” or the fact that the knee was not ready in the 10th month of rehabilitation when he could not perform basic jumps. We should also not forget about Neymar himself, who may not be the most disciplined athlete.
In the end, Neymar was removed from the team, and the coach clearly hinted that we are unlikely to see the “previous Neymar”. Thus, this story should be instructive for many who go through the story of a cruciate tear, as focus, discipline, and concentration are key in quality rehabilitation after such an injury,” Babeleuk wrote in his Telegram channel.
