The captain of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» Vitalii Buialskyi shared his expectations for the match of the 7th round of the main stage of the Europa League against the Turkish «Galatasaray» during the scheduled pre-match press conference.
— How do you personally feel about this match against «Galatasaray»? Is it a battle for prestige, or just preparation for the spring part of the championship?
— I can say that this will be more of a battle for prestige because we no longer have any tasks. We have a badge on our chests and a sense of pride that we need to show in tomorrow's game. I believe each of us will give our all tomorrow. We will show that our current position is a coincidence.
— Your team has many young players. How do you motivate them, considering the war between Russia and Ukraine?
— The players have contracts with the club, they are fulfilling them, training, progressing, and want to help the team as well as our country. They are getting into the national team of Ukraine and the youth team. Additionally, they aim to win medals and trophies in the championships and matches in which they are playing.
— Vitalii, it's quite unusual for «Dynamo» and for Ukrainian clubs in general to start official matches so early after the winter break, in fact, this is the first time. Tell us how the training camp went, how do you feel about how ready you and the team are for official matches?
— Yes, this is the first time in my career for such a situation. I believe we had a very productive training camp, played friendly matches in which we practiced different combinations in attack and defense. Therefore, I think we are physically 100% ready. How we will play tomorrow, the head coach already informed us. I believe we will show all our best qualities.
