On Tuesday, January 21, the first official match of Kyiv "Dynamo" in 2025 will take place. The opponent of the Kyiv team in the 7th round of the main stage of the Europa League will be the renowned Turkish giant - "Galatasaray".
Yesterday morning, ahead of the game, the Kyiv players set off for Istanbul from Antalya airport, near which, in Belek, the Dynamo team is preparing for the second part of the season. The flight lasted about an hour, after which the Dynamo players were expected to check into their hotel, have lunch and rest.
In the evening, a mandatory pre-match training session of the team took place at "Galatasaray's" home arena - "Rams Park" (during UEFA-sanctioned matches, the stadium has a different official name - "Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex").
The training session, which according to the regulations lasted less than an hour, was partially open to the media. Before it began, the main coach of "Dynamo", Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, and the team captain, Vitalii Buyalskyi, answered journalists' questions professionally.
The Dynamo players conducted the training session in excellent spirits and full readiness for their first official match of the new year. Due to injuries, Denys Popov and Volodymyr Brazhko will not be able to help the team in the match against "Galatasaray"; they remained to recover in Belek, where the team will return immediately after the match.
