The Director of the Lviv “Karpaty” Andriy Tlumak explained why most Ukrainian clubs choose Turkey for their training camps.
- Turkey, especially its Mediterranean coast, has a well-developed football infrastructure. There are excellent living conditions and good pitches. I think that in terms of the price-quality criterion, it is the optimal option. In Spain, the football pitches and weather are even better, but there is one drawback. Teams return from their camps literally right before the start of the spring part of the championship. Imagine — you arrive from a country where it was plus 20, and you immediately find yourself in snow, minus temperatures, and mud. More time is needed for acclimatization. The climate in Turkey is still milder than in Spain. That’s why almost all UPL clubs choose this country for their camps,” said Tlumak.
