Football expert and coach Oleg Fedorchuk commented on the transfer of forward Danilo Sikan from Shakhtar to Trabzonspor.

“Was the sale of Sikan a surprise for me? Yes. For several reasons. Firstly, I didn’t understand this transfer because Shakhtar currently has certain problems in the domestic arena — third place in the UPL standings, unclear prospects for defending the championship, and at the same time, they are selling their main forward. Strange.
Secondly, it looks even stranger to sell Sikan considering Shakhtar's problems with quality forwards in the squad in general. They have also officially sold Kevin Kelsey to the American Portland just days ago.
And thirdly, probably the main peculiarity, in my opinion, is that they sold a Ukrainian.
Now in Pushich’s disposal, only Brazilians remain among the attacking players, and these are guys who play well in the UPL when they feel like it. It depends on their mood. They play relaxed, a light version. However, in European cups, they really give their all. They transform. It’s as if they become completely different players. Why? Because in matches on the fields of Ukraine, few scouts from foreign clubs are watching them. The Champions League is a different matter; that’s where they shine. Lucescu kept the Brazilians under tight control. He had discipline in the team, while Pushich is not like that,” said Fedorchuk.
