Exactly a year ago, on January 25, 2024, at the XXVI Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko was elected president of the UAF following a vote by its delegates. 93 delegates out of 94 voted for him (Andriy Shevchenko himself, who was also a delegate at the congress, did not participate in the voting).
“Today, January 25, marks a year since the UAF Congress entrusted me with the position of president of the Ukrainian Football Association. It was a time of important decisions and challenges. I am proud to have the opportunity to work for Ukraine, especially in this difficult period.
I sincerely thank the military who heroically defend the state and give us the opportunity to work. Thank you to everyone who supports my team's initiatives, as only together can we create the future of Ukrainian football. We do not stop and continue to work for Ukraine!” — noted Andriy Shevchenko.
We remind that on February 11, a press conference will be held at the Football House dedicated to the first year of the new team of the Ukrainian Football Association headed by Andriy Shevchenko.
The event is organized to familiarize with the results of the implementation of Andriy Shevchenko's program “9 steps for the development of Ukrainian football.” The media will have the opportunity to ask their questions. The time will be announced additionally.
