The president of «Inhulets», Oleksandr Povorozniuk, spoke about the current state of affairs with the new club stadium, which has not yet received permission to hold matches in the Ukrainian championship.
Oleksandr Povorozniuk— What about the new «Inhulets» stadium? There was information that the club has still not received permission to hold home matches due to issues with shelters.
— The laws here, as always, change every day — on the 1st it was one thing, now it is another. But we are trying to fit into the timeline and everything will be resolved positively. Perhaps, we will not make it for the first two to four games, but the process is underway. I fundamentally want to do everything from «A» to «Z» at the stadium, so that no questions arise.
I can say that everything is completely ready for football at the stadium: the locker rooms, the field, the stands, the areas for television. This is just Mykolayovych, who is Shevchenko, going on principles. Some principles to please someone. But I will do everything legally, and when I open the stadium, I will invite everyone, except for the UAF leadership. This is my principled position! I will even give the order not to let anyone [from UAF] in.
— So, you won't even let Shevchenko in?
— And what have they done to have «Inhulets» play at home and for people to watch football? We built the stadium in the village for four million euros. Such people should be carried on hands, and they avoid us. Well, avoid us further, stay in Kyiv, and we will play football.
— Previously, you said in an interview that Shevchenko did not pick up the phone when you called. Has he still not called back?
— Of course not. Well, you are the president of UAF, come and meet with me, talk. At least listen to the president of the club who built a stadium for four million euros in the village! You could at least call and ask: «Oleksandr Hryhorovych, what assistance do you need? What do you need from me?». Zero. Just zero!
— You said that «Inhulets» might play the first two to four games away from home. Do you already have options for where you will hold your home matches?
— Of course, there are. «Inhulets» will play in Kryvyi Rih.
