Sergiy Syminin during his time as a player for «Volyn»— Vashchuk’s class was felt. A very strong footballer. Vashchuk always delivered his first pass, and it always reached where he wanted. This was evident right from the first training session. Vashchuk is a legend of Ukrainian football.
Vashchuk didn’t even need to run. He anticipated the situation and correctly positioned everyone on the field with his prompts. It was comfortable to play with him. We learned a lot from him.
— How did Vashchuk behave in the team? Was there any condescension?
— No, not at all. Everything was fine. A simple guy. He didn’t say: «I played for "Dynamo", for the national team…». Everything was quickly equalized under Kvartsyan’s leadership. The collective was very good.
