Defender Kyle Walker commented on his decision to move from Manchester City to Milan mid-season.
“When I was talking to Pep, it wasn’t a very comfortable conversation. Mainly because of the respect we have for each other. And also because he has won at Manchester City, although I have won there too.
I would like to think he knows what I bring to the dressing room and what atmosphere I create. City was a home for me—from the chefs to the cleaners and physiotherapists. I would like to think that I helped everyone integrate into the team. However, things weren’t going well there; I wasn’t getting enough playing time,” Walker is quoted by The Telegraph.
Recall that Milan has loaned Walker until the end of the season. The Rossoneri will have the option to buy the 33-year-old Englishman for £4.2 million.
