The midfielder of Kyiv “Dynamo” Andriy Yarmolenko commented on the team’s victory in the Europa League match against RFS on MEGOGO.
— Andriy, what are your emotions after today’s game?
— I think there was not enough football, as you saw for yourself, the state of the pitch was such that it was hard to play any constructive football. The legs get very tired on such a field. But it’s good that we managed to win, because we understand that we failed in the Europa League and needed to somehow rehabilitate ourselves in front of our supporters.
— How do you feel? You asked for a substitution at the end of the match...
— Everything is fine, I just gave all my strength at that moment, and on the bench we have many players who can come on and be more useful at these moments. That’s why I asked for a substitution.
— How important is this victory for the team before the start of the second part of the season in the Ukrainian Championship?
— Of course, it’s important. In the first part of the season, there were many trips, it was hard to recover. We needed to prove to ourselves that all of this was just an accident due to logistics. If we hadn’t taken points in the match with “Galatasaray” and lost here, our fans would simply not have understood us. Moreover, before these two matches, the club president said that it was an honor for “Dynamo” to play. That’s why we gave all our strength in these matches. We will prepare for the UPL with a good mood.
— How do you like the new format of European competitions?
— It’s interesting to play. We will see how it goes further, but it’s already more interesting, because we played 8 matches instead of 6. Earlier at this time we used to have training camps, but now we have already played 2 official matches.
