Former football player of Lviv’s Karpaty Yuriy Benyo commented on the unsuccessful performances of Kyiv’s Dynamo and Donetsk’s Shakhtar in the European cups of the current season.
Yuriy Benyo— Shakhtar fought until the last rounds, they still had some hope. Overall, they looked not very stable, as there were clearly disastrous matches, as well as quite successful ones. It seems to me that the match against PSV (2:3, — editor's note) became a turning point, as they should have won that game. It was a strong moral blow for the team.
As for Dynamo, it is clear that it focused on the domestic championship, while in the European cups they played through rotation. This makes some sense, as logistics for Ukrainian teams is currently not simple; they have to recover on the road,” said Benyo.
