Dynamo in training camp in Turkey. Popov was the best in the sprint

The winter training camp of Kyiv’s “Dynamo”, led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, is approaching its conclusion in Turkey.

One of the most eventful days of the final week of the Turkish training camp was Thursday. On that day, the team held two training sessions on the field.

During the morning session, the coaching staff, together with the scientific department, conducted testing of the players’ speed characteristics using special equipment to achieve high accuracy of results. All players demonstrated high levels of starting speed, and this time the best in the 30-meter sprint was Denys Popov.

Overall, in the concluding days of the camp, the team is working on tactics, team interactions during defense and attack buildup, transitions from one phase to another, finishing attacks, while also focusing on exercises to develop the individual qualities of each player. Some exercises were dedicated to playing during set pieces.

On Friday, the team held one training session on the field. Similarly, one practical session is scheduled for Saturday.

The final day of the Turkish training camp will be Sunday. On this day, the “white-blues” will play two friendly matches. In the first match, the Kyiv team will face a team they recently played in the final round of the group stage of the Europa League — the Latvian RFS. The last opponent for “Dynamo” in this camp will be the Moldovan club “Petrokub.” After playing these matches, the team will return to Ukraine, where they will prepare for the match of the 18th round of the Ukrainian championship against “Karpaty”, which will take place in Kyiv on February 23.
