“I have played against all the big teams: Portugal, Spain, France, England. Luka Modric is the best of those I have played against. I don’t like playing against Croatia — it’s a strange team. They can play poorly, but two minutes before the end, Modric can receive the ball, make an assist, score a goal and win. It seemed like every time I played against Croatia, it was like that,” said Stepanenko.
