— Even when I was representing “Vorskla” in 2023, in order not to waste precious time, I decided to finish my coaching courses to obtain a “B” category license.
And already when I moved to LNZ, I continued my education to obtain a more prestigious “A” category diploma. As you can see, I am serious and I link my future in football with a coaching career. Especially since I had to play under the guidance of many renowned specialists and have something to compare.
— Therefore, to deepen your knowledge, you visited a well-known Dutch club PSV for an internship last year?
— I am very grateful to PSV's manager Peter Bosz, under whom I played for another Dutch team “Vitesse”. My time in Eindhoven was very informative.
Not wanting to stop, I decided this year to ask the head coach of “Alexandria” Ruslan Rotan for permission to undergo another internship with this team. The mentor agreed, and just these days I am with the “city residents”.
— And what are your impressions?
— The best. And not only because I played together with Rotan and his assistant Sergey Kravchenko for “Dnipro” at one time. I really appreciate the style of “Alexandria”: focus on attack, ball control, searching for the quickest route to the opponent's goal with the help of slicing passes. I believe that the “city residents” are not among the leaders of the UPL by chance.
— Are you planning to go to Lviv to support “Alexandria” in the central match of the 19th round of the Ukrainian championship against “Shakhtar”?
— No, by that time my internship will already be over. After all, everyone should do their own thing.
— Then finally clarify whether the information is true that you are not yet done playing and plan to perform at the amateur level for “Lisne”, whose ranks are defended by such famous footballers as Denis Garmash and Sergey Rybalka?
— The club management contacted me with a request to play for “Lisne” in the Memorial of the legendary goalkeeper Oleg Makarov. I agreed and made a certain contribution to the sensational victory of “Lisne” in this traditional tournament. But it was a one-time event. Further, I plan to focus solely on my coaching career. And obtaining a category A license is just an intermediate step.
