The head coach of Bayern Munich, Vincent Kompany, commented on his team’s crushing victory in the first match of the Champions League Round of 16 against Bayer Leverkusen.
"This is just the first match. Right now we are fully focused on the return match. This was the most important game of the season so far, but we hope there are even more important matches ahead. We remain calm and prove that we are always ready for important matches. We did a lot of things right; otherwise, you simply cannot defeat such a strong team," Kompany’s words are quoted by Bayern & Germany on social media X (formerly Twitter).
