The head coach of FSK ‘Mariupol’, Oleg Krasnopyorov, gave a clear answer to the question of whether his team will play in the spring part of the first league.
Oleg Krasnopyorov— Oleg Volodymyrovych, as you remember, we spoke with you almost two weeks ago, and back then you said there was hope that FSK ‘Mariupol’ would indeed play in the spring part of the first league. Is the hope still alive or is the club already in agony?
— (After a long pause.) I don’t even know what to say. There are no good news. Today or tomorrow, you will find out everything officially. But I can already say: everything is heading towards the fact that such a club as ‘Mariupol’ will no longer be on the football map of Ukraine. All necessary papers are already being prepared to be sent to the PFL.
— So, it can already be confidently stated that your team will not play in the spring part of the first league?
— Yes, you understood everything correctly.
— Is it about the complete liquidation of the club or, let’s say, freezing the project until better times?
— I definitely cannot answer this question, please refer to the president of FSK ‘Mariupol’ for clarification.
— As of today, who else is still under contract with the club?
— It is unlikely that there is even one player left who has a valid labor contract with ‘Mariupol’. Very unlikely.
— And what about you?
— If you’re asking about the contract, I don’t have it either, because, you see, the club de facto no longer exists.
