Former English Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that French PSG rightfully eliminated his former team in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League (0:1, 1:0, on penalties - 4:1).

"The best team won. We saw how PSG played in the first match - I called it a robbery. In the first 20 minutes of the first half, I thought that Liverpool would comfortably win this match, but they just failed to score an early goal, and then PSG got into the game.
From then on, it seemed that both could score, but in extra time, PSG took the initiative, while Liverpool tried to hold on until the penalty shootout. A penalty shootout is a lottery, but PSG deserved to go through. Liverpool ran out of steam. It was a top-level match, and we must give credit to the opponent's wonderful performance," Carragher told CBS Sports.
