Former midfielder of the Ukrainian national team Sergiy Tkachenko talked about how he went for a trial at Kyiv’s Dynamo.

— There was such a moment. I was 17 years old. I was brought for a trial to the Dynamo reserves.
— Why weren’t you able to stay in the capital?
— Honestly, I don’t know the details. Either I didn’t fit, or they didn’t want me to fit. Football is money. After that, let everyone draw their own conclusions.
— Were you upset?
— I was a little, I had a lingering disappointment. If I had known the specific reason, it would be possible to talk in more detail. Again, if someone had told me: «You can’t make it at Dynamo», the despair would have been greater. So I was left in the dark about everything that happened.
— Did you have a favorite team in childhood?
— Yes. It was Dynamo. My dad was a fan of the Kyiv team, and he got me into the fan group of the «white-blues» (smiles).
— Who did you follow with great pleasure?
— The whole team. Whoever you look at there — a star: Viktor Chanov, Oleg Kuznetsov, Sergiy Baltacha, Anatoliy Dem'yanenko, Volodymyr Bezsonov. Vasyl Rats, Ihor Belanov... If 18 people made it to the lineup, they are all legends.
