“I arrived at the national team camp right after the Real Madrid match, managed to get some sleep, and started my preparations. I missed two training camps of the national team for certain reasons and now I am very happy to be here again after a significant break. I have a great desire to work. During this time, there have not been major changes in the national team — everything is as usual. The mood is good, the atmosphere, the process — everything is great.
Of course, we expect a positive result against Belgium from the sum of the two matches. We all want to rise to League A. And for that, we need to prepare well, seriously and responsibly. Everything else will show itself in the matches.
Regarding Thibaut Courtois, we didn’t talk much about the upcoming matches. We teased each other, but that’s personal. Undoubtedly, I believe our chances are 50-50. Belgium now has a new coach. On the one hand, there could be some surprises, a new tactic; on the other hand, perhaps the team will not be completely ready to follow all his instructions. But the most important thing now is to prepare ourselves, to focus on our game, our work,” Andriy Lunin said.
