Defender of the Ukrainian national team Maxim Talovyerov joined our team’s preparation for the Nations League playoff matches against Belgium quite recently.
Under the guidance of Serhiy Rebrov, the team is preparing in Spanish Benidorm, and they are now in a two-a-day training regime — morning and evening. Defender of the blue and yellows Maxim Talovyerov shared his thoughts.
“I feel good right now, I’m in a positive mood. I really want to see all the guys, as I’ve missed them. We haven’t seen each other for a long time, already four months. Only the best emotions, I’m always happy to come to the national team!
Belgium is a great opponent. I remember our meeting at Euro-2024. So I think the matches will be very interesting. The Belgians have changed their coach, so the players will work to prove their necessity to him in the team. A tough confrontation awaits us, but we will prepare. There have been cases when after a change of coach teams started playing like ‘Barcelona,’ while sometimes it went the other way. Let’s hope that in our matches the Belgians won’t benefit from it.
My personal goal is to perform well in this camp, to prove to the coaches that I should be in the squad. The most important thing is for our national team to win.
Lastly, I want to say to our fans who will be at the stadium to be as loud as usual and support us. To those who will watch us on television or online, I want to convey that they should be with us and believe in us. We feel this and will do everything to make our supporters happy," — said Maxim Talovyerov.
