— Thank you very much to all the fans who support us. Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! In such a difficult moment, I think we did everything we could today. Emotions are overwhelming. This is my first goal for the national team, and I want to dedicate it to all the fans and our fighters! Let’s hold on! I believe that Ukraine will win and everything will be fine for us.
— What did you feel at the moment when you managed to equalize the score?
— Incredible emotions. The main thing is that the team won. We managed to turn the game around, the players who came on as substitutes changed the situation — that’s what was required of us.
— Again, Ukraine played two different halves...
— Somehow we always seem to do that. But there is still a second match ahead, so we cannot relax.
— Are all your thoughts now on the second match?
— Of course, as this confrontation continues, we need to recover now and prepare for the second match. I think it will be even harder than today.
— Today we saw a completely different national team of Ukraine compared to the one that played against Belgium at the Euro...
— We just set ourselves up correctly and understood that we needed to win in such difficult times.
