The former player of the national team of Ukraine Igor Zhabchenko shared his expectations from the rematch in the Nations League between the national teams of Belgium and Ukraine, which will take place in Genk on March 23.
Igor Zhabchenko— I was somewhat surprised by the statements of the Belgian leaders who confidently claim that they will achieve victory in Genk with the desired score and will be promoted. Why were they not so sure of their strength in the first match in Spanish Murcia, when it was worth it for Oleksiy Hutsulyak to level the score, as they “drifted away” and it's a bit regrettable that the matter did not come to a rout.
I hope that not only the Belgians but also our guys will work productively on their mistakes, because we must not forget that in the first half they did not perform well at all. I do not rule out that in Genk the hosts will prevail thanks to the support of their 12th player with a minimal score advantage, however, the Ukrainians will have enough lead gained in Genk for overall success,” noted Zhabchenko.
