The head coach of the Italian “Roma” Claudio Ranieri after the Saturday match against “Lecce” (1:0) in the Italian championship commented on the Ukrainian forward of his team Artem Dovbik, who in this match scored the winning goal.
Claudio Ranieri— We must demand more from Dovbik in order to stimulate him. And we do this every day. Artem supports it.
I asked the guys to play to Dovbik just like they did today, because he is good when he receives the ball deep, but we do not always deliver him such passes. And I asked Dovbik to better time his runs to avoid being offside. We train all this comprehensively, and there is gradual progress with Dovbik.
Dovbik is a very sensitive boy, and these goals are beneficial for him. But I think this is still not the maximum of Dovbik. He has issues (with his knee, — ed. note), he has already scored several goals. He needs to be calmer, and it's not easy considering the known situation (presumably referring to the war, — ed. note). We must take this into account.
Once I told Dovbik: “Goals are important for you, but I want you to fight for every ball. Over time, you will fully reveal your potential,” said Ranieri after the match with “Lecce”.
