The head coach of "Real" Carlo Ancelotti expressed his opinion on the workload on players in modern football.
Carlo Ancelotti— When I was a footballer, there was no such exhaustion among players. It used to be a different kind of sport, a different football. Not only because of exhaustion, but also the preparation, the workload during recovery. We have to cope with this, hoping to have more time to recover better, prepare better for matches. This season will be very challenging. We have handled it well, considering the serious injuries we cannot recover from by the end, — said Carlo Ancelotti.
Moreover, after 29 rounds, "Real" is in fourth place in La Liga, having 63 points. Catalonia's "Barcelona" is ahead of the Madrid team by three points.
