UEFA Executive Committee Elections. Full Results

As previously reported, the 49th UEFA Congress took place in Belgrade. Elections to the UEFA Executive Committee and FIFA Council were held in the Serbian capital.

The press service of the union reported on the elections to the Executive Committee and other bodies.

Elections took place at the Congress:

• for seven positions on the UEFA Executive Committee with a four-year mandate

During the voting in the first round, it was necessary to obtain 28 votes (more than half of 55)

Ratification of the Representative of European Leagues

Claudius Schafer (Switzerland) was approved as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee with a four-year mandate from European leagues.

FIFA Council Elections

Elections took place at the Congress:

• for a women's position on the FIFA Council with a four-year mandate

Founding Meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee

At the founding meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, which took place after the UEFA Congress, Gabriele Gravina was appointed as the first vice-president of UEFA, and Hans-Joachim Watzke and Jesper Moller were appointed as vice-presidents. Sandor Csanadi was appointed as treasurer of UEFA and confirmed as vice-president of UEFA.

Honorary Members of UEFA

David Gill (ENG), Karl-Erik Nilsson (SWE), and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (GER) received the status of honorary members of UEFA for their outstanding contributions to the development of European football.
